The five tiles here that are actually stone

Five product pages still give the short answer promised by this title. Their Material row reads Marble, while twenty-two products are grouped under concrete-look, stone-look, terrazzo-look or travertine-look names and now read Porcelain. Both fields are filled. They still answer different questions. The difference is not decorative: it decides which field can support which public statement today.

A “-look” label describes the face used to organise a range. The Material row records the value in the supplier’s current documentation. Tilekind did not determine those compositions by testing them. A written supplier return dated 19 August 2026 supplied the values now shown across forty-six of the sixty product pages.

The material gap present when this article first appeared has narrowed, but it has not closed. Saying so matters. The earlier version left unsupported fields unfilled; the current version records the new written information while keeping the same rule against turning names, images or neighbouring product codes into material evidence. The change is visible by design rather than hidden as editorial cleanup.

A look and a material are two answers

Look and material can agree without becoming synonyms. “Stone-look” says that the face is organised around a stone appearance. Porcelain says how the supplier’s documentation records the body. A reader can use both facts at once, but one does not prove the other. The same distinction applies to concrete, terrazzo and travertine appearances.

As checked on 28 August 2026, concrete-look tiles contains six products, stone-look tiles six, terrazzo-look tiles five and travertine-look tiles five. Their union is twenty-two products, exactly the sum of the four collection counts, and none belongs to the five-product marble set. That zero intersection comes from current memberships, not from a definition carried by their labels.

All twenty-two currently record Porcelain. That makes a useful catalogue statement: these four appearance groups are porcelain here because the supplier record says so, not because a suffix or visual resemblance can identify a material on its own. The same rule would stop the claim if a future look product arrived without its own documented material value.

A fifth look group has since been added, and it is the rule running the other way. Marble-look tiles holds fourteen products, and on every one of them the Material row still reads Not specified. A name ending in “-look” does not supply a material, and here the site declines to invent one.

The material map is complete for forty-six of sixty

Across sixty products, forty-six carry a material tag: twenty-five Porcelain, sixteen Ceramic and five Marble. The fourteen marble-look tiles carry none. The visible Specifications row shows the same distribution, with fourteen material rows still reading Not specified. The tag, visible row and JSON-LD agree on every product, with no missing or duplicate material state among the forty-six that carry one.

The twenty-two look products account for twenty-two of the twenty-five porcelain records. Three porcelain products sit outside those four look collections. That stops the relationship being read backwards: every product in the four look groups is recorded as porcelain, but not every porcelain product belongs to one of those look groups.

This is a current catalogue map, not a general definition of porcelain, ceramic or stone. It reports the value the supplier’s current documentation records for each exact product. It does not add an origin, performance class, application or care method that the material field itself does not state.

The five stone records did not move

The five products recorded as Marble remain TK-MOS-006 through TK-MOS-010: Carrara Round, Fan, Large Hexagon, Stack and Petite Herringbone mosaic tiles. The supplier’s written return maintains that same five-product set. None of the twenty-two look products enters it, and neither does any of the fourteen marble-look tiles. Each is also a mosaic sheet; the material statement does not turn its form into a large slab.

Those five are the complete current membership of marble tiles. Four also appear in soft polished finish tiles; Petite Herringbone does not, because its finish row remains unrecorded. That difference is another reminder that material and finish are separate catalogue fields. The finish collection therefore cannot stand in for the material collection, even where four memberships overlap.

The title therefore still resolves to five, not nine and not twenty-seven. It identifies the five products whose supplier-documented material is marble. It does not convert every stone-like face, every shared product name or every Carrara-labelled mosaic into the same material. It is a count grounded in five supplier records, not a count reconstructed from naming conventions.

Nine Carrara names divide into three materials

Nine product titles contain Carrara, but the supplier’s documentation records three materials across them. Five are Marble, three are Ceramic and one is Porcelain. The shared title word organises a visual family; it does not create a nine-product material family. The complete row makes that separation visible without asking a reader to interpret imagery or colour.

The ways this range writes a finish follows the same names through the finish rows, where they divide again.

The four non-stone records are now explicit. TK-MOS-002 is Ceramic, TK-MOS-003 is Porcelain, and TK-MOS-004 and TK-MOS-005 are Ceramic. None of those four belongs to the five-product stone set. Their values come from the supplier’s 19 August return, not from our reading of their names or veining. The new record answers composition while leaving other specification questions separate.

This result confirms the earlier caution without turning that caution into a prediction. The site did not know which composition to substitute, so it substituted none. When the written answer arrived, the four products proved to have two different non-stone materials despite sharing the same visual naming family.

The blank was the honest answer then

When the first version of this article was published, those four material rows read Not specified. Leaving them unfilled was correct while the supplier documentation was silent. Filling them from a title would have made a confident claim before there was a product-specific written source to support it.

The new return closes those fields and confirms the earlier caution: neighbouring codes, shared veining language and a nine-product name group never established composition. Three of the four are now recorded as ceramic and one as porcelain. A single inferred answer would have been wrong for at least one of them.

The evidence changed, so the rows changed; the reasoning did not. Refusing to guess was not a defect to hide. It was the control that kept an attractive name from becoming a material statement, and it remains the control in use on the fourteen marble-look rows that are still blank.

JSON-LD kept the same boundary

The earlier blank existed in two places. The four visible rows said Not specified, and their Product JSON-LD emitted no material property. That omission was deliberate data hygiene, not an incomplete value disguised for search systems. Machine-readable data stopped at the same boundary as the customer-facing page.

After the supplier values were added to the Product tags, both surfaces changed together. Product JSON-LD now emits material forty-six times: twenty-five Porcelain, sixteen Ceramic and five Marble. The visible rows carry the same counts, and a page-by-page comparison finds no mismatch. The updated count therefore stops where the supplier record stops: forty-six of sixty, with no machine-readable claim beyond it.

That history is more useful than pretending the field was always complete. Before the written answer, omission showed what the site did not have. After the answer, inclusion shows what the supplier now records. The structured-data rule stayed fixed while the evidence state changed. That continuity keeps the correction legible instead of erasing the earlier evidence boundary.

Care is still outside the material row

Completing a material field does not complete a care specification. Across the sixty current product descriptions, acid, etch, porous, stain and sealant each return zero matches. Within the five marble descriptions, searches for care, cleaning, sealing and maintenance methods also return no recorded method. Knowing the body narrows the question but does not supply its verified answer.

The useful conclusion is an absence, not a recipe. The site can now distinguish marble, ceramic and porcelain without claiming how any exact surface should be cleaned or whether it requires sealing. Those remain product-specific questions for the responsible source; this article does not answer them from the material name alone.

The batch sentence is shared by every material

Every current description ends with the same two sentences: “Shade and surface variation may occur between production batches. Review a current sample before final selection.” The wording appears on all sixty products—porcelain, ceramic, marble and the marble-look tiles with no material on file alike—and therefore does not mark a special batch rule for the five stone records.

Nothing in that shared sentence quantifies variation by material, promises closer matching for one group or supplies a batch tolerance. The material map adds composition records; it does not turn a catalogue-wide caution into a measured comparison between natural stone and the twenty-two porcelain look products.

How the current price tiers sit

On the read date, all five marble-recorded products carried a standard-unit listed price of A$274, the highest distinct tier in the sixty-product catalogue. The next distinct tier was A$137, carried by seventeen products — the three Atlas stone-looks and the fourteen marble-looks. The upper tier sat at roughly twice the next one.

That is a dated Tilekind price observation, not a general rule about material cost. Listed prices change, and nothing here is a price commitment. Five products share A$274, so A$137 is the next distinct tier rather than the second-highest individual product in a descending list.

The four non-stone Carrara-named products were listed at A$117. Three are now recorded as ceramic and one as porcelain, which further separates the shared name from both material and price. A visual family can contain different documented bodies without requiring one commercial explanation. Price belongs to the listing date; material belongs to the supplier documentation instead.

Read the product page in this order

The current catalogue has a material value for forty-six of its sixty products. A short reading order still prevents one field from answering a question that belongs to another. The sequence below begins with what a customer sees, moves to the documented material, and then stops each remaining field from borrowing authority from that answer when the page is read.

  1. Read the title and “-look” wording as visual naming, not as proof of composition.
  2. Read Material as the value in the supplier’s current documentation, and Not specified as the absence of one.
  3. Keep finish, format, price, application and care as separate records.
  4. When documentation changes, update the field and preserve what the earlier omission meant.

The material tags, visible rows, JSON-LD, collection memberships, description-word checks and listed prices were read again on 28 August 2026. The material source is the supplier’s written return dated 19 August 2026, not Tilekind testing. Counts and prices can change with the catalogue. Public pages and collection endpoints were re-fetched, not inherited from the prior article.
