Black tiles

Black under a reflective glaze behaves less like a colour and more like a dark mirror: it doubles a pendant, borrows whatever light the room already has, and shows a fingerprint the way a pale gloss never does.

The black tiles currently in the range are gloss subway shapes at 75 × 300 mm. If a matt black or a black floor tile is what the project needs, ask us before you plan around one — the range moves.

No AS 4586 wet pendulum classification is recorded for them, so there is no floor figure here to read. Waved and plain faces both appear: under a single downlight a plain face holds an even sheet of reflection while a waved one breaks it into bands.
