12 tilesTiles made in 600 × 1200 mm are usually also made as a 600 × 600 mm square, though some are made only in the long format.
The overlap is the useful part, because the longer format changes the labour rather than the look. A 1.2 m module wants two pairs of hands to place, and in a room that is not a multiple of 1200 mm more of each box leaves as offcut, since a piece cut off the length rarely finds a second home.

Recorded faces here include matt, texture-and-honed, honed, polished and a vertical fluted profile. Which format arrives is not something the checkout asks: the only option is a purchase unit, standard or a sample piece, and the formats sit on the product page.
