Short answer: Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday 27 November, and Cyber Monday on 30 November. If you plan to order tiles around then, the slow parts are measuring, comparing samples at home and checking delivery to your address. None of them depends on an offer, and all of them can be done now. Two standing offers apply: A$100 off when the products in an order come to A$1,500 or more, and A$40 off a first order of A$500 or more for email subscribers. Neither is a Black Friday offer. For everyone, from 27 to 30 November (Melbourne time), a separate Black Friday offer takes A$60 off when the products in an order come to A$500 or more, A$150 off at A$1,000 or more and A$300 off at A$2,000 or more; email subscribers who have signed up by 5:00 pm on 26 November can use it from 6:00 pm that day. Section 8 sets out its times and conditions, and the Black Friday page sums them up.
The checklist below runs in the order the work happens. Each step links to the page or guide that covers it in full.
1. Measure, then work out the quantity
Work out each surface in square metres, take off doors, windows and anything you are not tiling, add an allowance for cuts and breakage, then round up to whole boxes. The tile calculator does the sum and rounds up to whole tiles. Its allowance options are planning inputs, not recommendations; the allowance to use is the one your installer confirms. How many tiles do I need? works three surfaces through by hand.
A 600 × 600 mm box here holds 4 tiles and covers 1.44 m², from the supplier's documentation. As an example, 10 m² net with a 10% allowance is 11 m², which is 7.6 boxes, so 8. For some second sizes the box figure is a typical pack rather than the supplier's, and the product page says so. How many tiles in a box, and how many per square metre? lists every size.
2. Compare prices per square metre, not per box
Tiles here are priced by the box, and boxes cover different areas, so the fair comparison is price per square metre: the box price divided by the square metres in the box. The product pages for boxed tiles show that figure beside the box price; for a 600 × 600 mm box it is the box price divided by 1.44. Prices include GST; delivery is added at checkout. Where the box figure is a typical pack rather than the supplier's, the per-square-metre figure is an estimate too. Mosaics are sold by the sheet.
3. Order samples now
Every tile on this site can be ordered as a sample piece. Samples are A$3 a piece, up to five to a tray, with free sample delivery anywhere in Australia and no minimum order. Each sample is a piece of the actual tile or mosaic sheet, not a full tile or sheet: about 100 × 100 mm from most tiles and mosaic sheets, about 75 × 100 mm from a 75 × 300 mm subway tile, and whole strips from strip and stack mosaics. Each product page has a picture with the sample piece outlined on the tile or sheet. The sample cost is credited against a full-tile order of the same tile placed within six months of the sample order: quote your sample order number when you order, and the credit is applied as a refund to the tile order. Sample pieces cannot be returned for a change of mind. The tile samples page has the current details.
A sample is worth having before you order because it shows the tile in your own light, beside your own paint, timber and benchtop. Tile samples at home sets out how to compare them.
4. Order the whole quantity in one go
The refund policy puts it directly: "Order the full quantity for your project, including your cutting allowance, in a single order. We cannot guarantee that a later order will match an earlier batch." The product pages add that screen images, sample pieces and production batches can vary, and ask you to confirm the supplied batch before installation. Buying tiles online in Australia explains what a sample can and cannot settle about a batch.
5. Check delivery: it is priced by weight and state
Tiles are delivered to every Australian state and territory; there is no pickup. The charge depends on the total weight of the tiles and where they are going; Victoria has three areas by postcode. Most tile boxes weigh about 30 kg; subway and 100 × 300 mm wall tile boxes about 16 kg. Mosaic sheets are not counted in the weight. The published rates are:
| Total weight | Greater Melbourne | Geelong | Rest of VIC | ACT, NSW, QLD, SA | TAS | WA, NT |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Up to 35 kg (one 30 kg box, or two 16 kg boxes) | A$35 | A$60 | A$70 | A$50 | A$90 | A$110 |
| Over 35 kg, up to 70 kg (about two 30 kg boxes) | A$45 | A$115 | A$135 | A$90 | A$155 | A$155 |
| Over 70 kg, up to 130 kg (about three or four 30 kg boxes) | A$45 | A$210 | A$250 | A$150 | A$255 | A$235 |
| Over 130 kg, up to 200 kg (about five or six 30 kg boxes) | A$95 | A$260 | A$320 | A$205 | A$400 | A$290 |
| Over 200 kg, up to 1,000 kg (one pallet) | A$150 | A$290 | A$650 | A$385 | A$955 | A$685 |
The rates are a guide, not a freight quote; checkout gives the final charge. They include GST; heavier orders go by two or three pallets, and over 3,000 kg is quoted separately. The weight bands matter when you round up: six 30 kg boxes weigh 180 kg, seven weigh 210 kg, so a seventh box moves an order into the pallet band. The rate also steps up at the fifth 30 kg box, over 130 kg, and outside Greater Melbourne at the third as well, over 70 kg. The 8 boxes in the example above weigh 240 kg.
Samples ship free, and adding samples to a tile order does not increase the delivery charge. Tiles are delivered to the kerb or driveway at your unloading point; drivers do not carry tiles inside, upstairs or past that point, so tell us about access before the order is booked. A few remote postcodes and islands are quoted separately or carry a surcharge; we tell you before dispatch and you can cancel at no cost. If no one can receive the delivery at the booked time, the carrier's redelivery fee is passed on at cost. Any dispatch date or delivery window is an estimate, not a guarantee: the delivery page gives the current estimates, and if your job has a fixed start date, ask us before you order. Tile delivery in Australia sets these terms beside eight other online shops.
6. Know the returns and damage terms before you order
Change-of-mind returns are accepted for 14 days from delivery, and you must request a return before sending anything back. Tiles must be unopened, in full unopened boxes, or unused and uncut full mosaic sheets, in their original packaging, with your receipt or proof of purchase. Return freight is paid by the customer, and a restocking fee of 20% of the returned tile value applies. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days.
For damaged, faulty or incorrect goods, the 14-day window, the restocking fee and customer-paid return freight do not apply, and we cover the cost of putting them right. Where possible, record the delivery before you throw away packaging or lay any affected tiles. These terms do not replace or limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law; your rights when tiles arrive wrong explains them, and the returns and damage page has the form for reporting a problem.
7. The standing offers
As of 22 October 2026, two standing offers apply. Neither is a Black Friday offer.
- A$100 off orders of A$1,500 or more. When the products in your order come to A$1,500 or more before delivery, A$100 comes off the order at checkout. It is a discount on the order, not on the delivery charge.
- A$40 off a first order of A$500 or more. Subscribe with the sign-up form at the foot of the page and the code arrives by email. In the form's own words: one use per customer, not combined with other discounts.
8. The Black Friday offer
For everyone, from Friday 27 to Monday 30 November 2026, an order gets a fixed amount off when the products in it, before delivery, reach one of three levels:
- A$60 off when the products come to A$500 or more
- A$150 off when they come to A$1,000 or more
- A$300 off when they come to A$2,000 or more
Only the highest level an order reaches applies. The conditions, in one place:
- Dates. For everyone, from the start of Friday 27 November (12:00 am) to 11:59 pm on Monday 30 November 2026, Melbourne time (AEDT). Email subscribers who have signed up by 5:00 pm on Thursday 26 November can use it from 6:00 pm that day, Melbourne time, with codes sent to them by email: there is one for each level, so use the code for the highest level your order reaches. In other states, take off the difference: half an hour in Adelaide, one hour in Brisbane, an hour and a half in Darwin and three hours in Perth, so in Perth it ends at 8:59 pm. It ends at the stated time and will not be extended.
- What counts. Full boxes and mosaic sheets count towards the levels. Sample pieces do not count and are not discounted.
- Delivery. The amount comes off the products, not the delivery charge.
- Sample credit. The sample credit in section 3 still applies to a Black Friday order. It is refunded after the order, as usual.
- Returns. If you return part of an order, the refund for the returned tiles is what you paid for them, after their share of the discount. The discount on the tiles you keep stays, even if they now come to less than the level.
- Not combined. Only one of these can be used on an order: the Black Friday offer, the A$100 off at A$1,500 or more, or the first-order code in section 7. Whenever an order qualifies for the Black Friday offer, its amount is larger than either of the other two.
From the start of 27 November no code is needed: checkout takes the amount off and shows it before you pay. Checkout takes card or PayPal; paying for tiles online in Australia compares what nine shops accept.
Questions people ask
When is Black Friday in 2026?
Friday 27 November 2026. Cyber Monday is Monday 30 November 2026.
Does Tilekind have a Black Friday offer?
Yes. From 27 to 30 November 2026, Melbourne time, A$60 comes off an order whose products come to A$500 or more, A$150 off at A$1,000 or more and A$300 off at A$2,000 or more. Email subscribers who have signed up by 5:00 pm on 26 November can use it from 6:00 pm that day with codes sent to them by email, one for each level; from 27 November no code is needed. Section 8 has the conditions. The two standing offers in section 7 carry on as usual, but only one discount can be used on an order.
Can I combine the Black Friday offer with the standing offers?
No. Only one of the three can be used on an order. Whenever an order qualifies for the Black Friday offer, its amount is larger than either standing offer.
Are Tilekind samples free?
The sample piece costs A$3; sending it is free anywhere in Australia, with no minimum order. The cost is credited against a full-tile order of the same tile placed within six months of the sample order.
Can I use the first-order code and the A$100 off together?
No. The sign-up form says the first-order code is not combined with other discounts, so one order cannot use both.
How much does tile delivery cost?
It depends on the total weight and where it is going. One 30 kg box costs A$35 to deliver in Greater Melbourne and A$110 to WA or NT; two to six 30 kg boxes cost A$45 to A$400, and one pallet A$150 to A$955. Those published rates are a guide, not a freight quote: checkout gives the final charge, and a few remote postcodes and islands are quoted separately or carry a surcharge. The delivery page has the current rates.
Where these facts come from
The delivery rates and terms, the returns and damage terms, the sample terms, the two standing offers, the calculator note and the per-square-metre figure come from this site's delivery, returns and damage, tile samples, tile calculator and product pages, its shipping and refund policies and its sign-up form, read on 22 October 2026; the delivery rates in section 5 are those published on 26 October 2026. The Black Friday offer in section 8 is Tilekind's own. The Black Friday and Cyber Monday dates follow the usual rule: Black Friday is the day after the fourth Thursday in November. If a figure here has changed since, the page it links to is the current one.
