About Textured tiles

Textured, on this page, means one of four surfaces a product page records: a rough finish, a wave profile, a fluted profile or a texture-and-honed finish. Thirteen tiles carry one of them. Colour, size and material vary; the surface is what they share.

Rough finish. The three Ridge slate looks record Rough, in 300 × 600 and 600 × 600 mm. Two terrazzo looks at 600 × 600 mm, Haven In/Out and Haven Pebble In/Out, record matt or rough as a choice; Terrazzo-look tiles: 5 faces compared, chip scale to joint count sets them beside the other three terrazzo looks. Slate tiles or slate look? The three here are porcelain sets out what a slate look is, and the rough finish tiles collection holds these five on their own.

Wave profile. Five Studio subway tiles, each 75 × 300 mm ceramic in gloss, carry a wave profile; Studio Crest Wave also records a wave edge. Zellige tiles: what zellige is, and why the five wave tiles here are not zellige reads them row by row, and the wave tiles collection holds the same five.

Fluted profile. Pietra Vela Fluted carries the Vela marble look across a vertical fluted face on a 600 × 1200 mm tile. Marble-look tiles: 14 faces compared by size, finish and colour sets it beside the other Pietra faces, and Fluted tiles: what they are, how they differ from ribbed, and how a fluted wall is laid covers grout, corners and cleaning.

Texture and honed. Atlas Ivory and Atlas Frost record a texture-and-honed finish, in 600 × 600 and 600 × 1200 mm. Stone-look tiles: 6 faces compared by finish, size and joint count sets them beside the Ridge tiles.

Slip classes are listed as they appear in the supplier's current documentation: P5 on the three Ridge tiles, P3 on the two Haven In/Out tiles and the two Atlas tiles, P2 on Pietra Vela Fluted, and no class recorded for the five wave tiles. For the two Haven tiles the record does not say which of the two finishes the class refers to. We do not hold the underlying test reports. A recorded class is a reference value, not approval for a particular application. The surface and the slip class are separate entries on each product page.
