Honed finish tiles

A honed face gives you nothing to hide behind.

There is no reflection to break up the surface and no texture to distract from it, so lippage between tiles and any wandering grout line show plainly. The levelling of the bed will decide more about how a honed tile turns out than the choice between one and another does, and that is worth knowing before the adhesive is mixed.

The honed faces here are stone-look and marble-look, made in 600 × 600 mm and 600 × 1200 mm. AS 4586 slip class is recorded on each product page where the supplier states one; some record none. We do not hold the underlying test reports.
