About Charcoal tiles

Charcoal tiles sit at the dark end of grey, just short of black. Tilekind’s charcoal group spans concrete-look, stone-look and subway tiles, in 75 × 300, 300 × 600 and 600 × 600 mm. On the AS 4586 scale the porcelain concrete-look tile records P3 and the stone-look tile P5; the gloss ceramic subway records no class.

Charcoal is the least uniform of the dark groups: gloss, matt and rough textured faces all appear in it. Recorded formats are a 75 × 300 mm subway shape alongside 300 × 600 mm and 600 × 600 mm.

AS 4586 slip class is recorded on some product pages here and absent on others. The values are from the supplier's current documentation; we do not hold the underlying test reports, and a recorded class does not establish suitability for a specific application. Confirm the required specification for your project with the responsible installer or specifier.

Charcoal and black tiles: 5 compared covers the three charcoal tiles here together with the two black ones.
