Polished is the face that shows the room back to you.
A polished tile returns light as a highlight rather than as colour, so a wall of it carries whatever stands in front of it — a window, a lamp, someone crossing the room. It is why a polished floor reads busy in daylight and calm at night. Where a tile offers more than one face, you choose the face on its product page before adding it to the cart.
The eleven Pietra marble-look tiles here record an AS 4586 slip class, P2 on seven and P3 on four, updated on 1 October 2026 from supplier documentation. Each also lists a second face, honed on six and matt on five, and the record does not say which face the class refers to; confirm it before ordering. We do not hold the underlying test reports.
The other three are natural marble mosaic sheets: Carrara Large Hexagon at 250 × 290 mm, Carrara Stack at 305 × 305 mm and Carrara Petite Herringbone at 270 × 262 mm. Each records polished as its only finish, and none records a slip class.
