Carrara Petite Herringbone in a shower and on the floor

Carrara Petite Herringbone Mosaic Tile, photographed twice: once running across two shower walls, once laid over a bathroom floor and seen from the doorway. Both frames show the pattern at a scale where the herringbone reads as an even texture rather than as separate pieces.

The corner turn behind the shower head

The tile carries around the corner onto the narrow return at the left, so the two planes read as one field rather than two separate panels. The pieces are small and the grout sits a shade greyer than the tile face, which pulls the zigzag forward as a fine, even texture. Brass tapware is the only strong colour in the frame.

The floor past a sage vanity

From the open door the herringbone runs away on a diagonal, so the points step toward the far wall and the floor reads as movement rather than a grid. The pale field sits under a wall hung vanity in soft sage with brass handles, a blush towel and white skirting. Colour varies between screens and between batches, so confirm the shade with a physical sample before you commit.
