Ceramic tiles

16 tiles

Sixteen tiles record ceramic as their material: eleven subway tiles, four mosaic sheets and one rectified 300 × 600 mm wall tile. It is a grouping by the material row on the product page. Tiles recorded as porcelain sit in the porcelain tiles collection, and the fourteen Pietra marble-look tiles, whose material is not stated by the supplier, are in neither.

Two guides cover this group. Porcelain or ceramic, rectified or not, matt or gloss: what the words on a tile page mean, and which tiles here are which explains the vocabulary and names every tile on each side of it, and Subway tiles: 11 faces compared by size, finish and joint count works through the eleven subway faces one by one.

About Ceramic tiles

The eleven subway tiles are 75 × 300 mm, with two at 100 × 300 mm. Five carry a wave face and the rest are flat. Gloss is the recorded finish on nine, matt on one, and one records no finish; the colours are white, grey, charcoal, black and green.

The four mosaic sheets are three matt Carrara sheets, herringbone at 316 × 277 mm, hexagon at 282 × 325 mm and square at 306 × 306 mm, and one gloss Studio white herringbone sheet at 316 × 277 mm. Across the sixteen, the colours are ten whites, two greys, two blacks, one charcoal and one green.

No AS 4586 slip class is recorded for any tile in this collection. This is a selection group, not an application-suitability determination. Use the individual product record as the specification source and confirm project requirements with the responsible installer or specifier.
