Fish scale mosaic tiles

Fish scale is the rare shape where the wrong way up is visible from across the room.

Turned one way the curves overlap and read as scales, which is the reading this collection is named for; turned the other they open out and read as fans. That decision has to hold across every sheet in the run. It also rarely stops neatly — a straight boundary cuts through the curves, so a run usually wants a full-height edge or a trim to finish against.

Recorded here as soft polished at 225 × 230 mm, with no AS 4586 wet pendulum classification on file. Settle the orientation before the first sheet goes up; it is not something you fix afterwards.
